We like to keep things simple and family-oriented here at the Gathering House. Our Saturday meetings are all about building community. A typical service consists of dinner, Bible discussion, and worship.
Dinner
Part of our vision is to devote ourselves to fellowship and to the breaking of bread. To bring that vision to life, we start each of our gatherings by sharing a meal together. We fellowship as a family over food. This shared meal, free to all who come, is a vital way in which we build community.
Bible Study
Another vital piece of our vision is to devote ourselves to the Word of God and to prayer. In our gatherings, this looks like sharing our needs for prayer before we begin our time studying the Word and praying for one another as a community. We then study out a passage of scripture all together. Though our pastors do facilitate the discussion, everyone is encouraged to share what understanding they have gained from the scriptures we study.
Worship
The Gathering House believes that worship is also a necessary and important part of a gathering of believers. We set aside time at each one of our meetings to celebrate and give adoration to God through music. Our goal is always to encourage each other through our worship of God and to turn our focus back to Him.
